Speckled by Loons

Disembodied from
the bleeding virus
of breaking news,
my mind is ready
for the cold medicine
of the Adirondacks in
April, where I can wait
for that wild, unscripted
destiny of quiet-clear as
chartreuse-rising from the
granite stomach of
a lake speckled by loons.
